For anyone who has Rock Stars Are A Trope, ya’ll know that Gabby has a blog and I thought it would be fun to help keep everyone updated on what her and Nate have been up to via her blog- so check here often to see what kinda trouble they’ve been getting into!
Note: These blog posts are fictional. They are meant to be read as part of the story and there is no truth to them at all in any way. I make this all up and it is intended for entertainment only.
Well, it’s only a couple weeks after the award show but the boys are already hard at work. Which, in a way is good for me. With Hooch in Hades on tour, I have time to catch up on my own work.
I’m going to be real with you, it still feels like this is a dream and I should be waking up anytime. I got forty orders yesterday. I didn’t even think that was possable. And… well, I can’t give away any details yet but I’ve got something really cool in the works for someone that most of you should know. A famous pop star, that’s all I can say. She’s one of my guilty pleasures.
Now, before I say too much, I’m going to give you guys some dirty details on things that aren’t going to get me into any trouble.
I’ve got a new clothing line coming out- it’s actually going to be in two major stores. I’m still working out the sketches and the rough drafts, but as soon as I can, I’ll have pictures!
See, that’s the nice thing about Nate being away so much- I’m able to get so much work done when he’s not here because… honestly, all I do is work. It’s okay with me, though. I do love doing it. I love my job. I can’t put into words how much I love that it’s actually my job now.
I can’t put into words how thankful I am for that.
Using Fashion To Take Action
For anyone who isn’t following me on other social media, you’ve probably already seen this but in case you haven’t, this year I’m part of a really super cool organization that will be hosting a silent auction. All the proceeds from the night are going to go to a charity. This year, that charity will help house and feed stray dogs.
There is going to be some amazing stuff there. I’m donating three dresses, all will be at different price points so no matter what your budget you’ll have the chance to get one! Kenda is going to be there, too. She’s going to be giving away signed books and for that night only, all the proceeds will go to it. If you don’t know much about Kenda, she’s a music writer. She’s working on the Hooch in Hades official biography but in the meantime, she published a book about music, fashion, and life. It’s a great read and the money’s going to a better cause!
Oh, and of course there will be a chance to meet us and Hooch in Hades. You’re going to be there, right?
When Things Fall Apart
Well, that thing I was talking about a few posts back… it fell through. I can’t give details on it but the truth is, I’m crushed.
When you step out of your comfort zone (like I did with this) it can bring about amazing things, but there is also the chance that something is going to blow up in your face and it’s going to suck. And it might just break your heart. That’s kinda how I feel right now, but I’m going to try to keep fighting. No, I will keep fighting. I just need some time to get over it. Once I get over this set back, I’ll be back at it better than ever.
I’ll use this to motivate me to do better, to get better, and to keep stepping outside of my comfort zone.
Just a few months again, I didn’t think I really stood a chance at making it big. I thought I might get lucky and be able to make a little bit of money off my clothes- but this… this is not something I even dared to dream about something like this. So, I’m not going to give up. I can’t wait to see where I am a few months from now.
